Monthly Update - 04

April was marked by extreme volatility, triggered early in the month by the announcement of new US global trade tariffs, causing sharp initial market declines. Equity markets experienced a rollercoaster, plunging significantly (S&P 500 briefly down over 11%) before recovering most losses to finish nearly flat to slightly down for the month (S&P 500 -0.7%, Nasdaq +0.9%).

In April the performances of the main indexes slightly improved, with the S&P 500  realising YTD -5.31% and the MSCI World -0.77% YTD.
